Who's excited?

Sale-A-Bration and a brand new Occasions Catalogue kicked off yesterday, there's so many things I love in them both I'm having trouble decided what to get! Sale-A-Bration runs until March 31, and the new Occasions Catalogue runs until June 30. Check them out online here and here or if you're in Australia and don't have a demonstrator leave me a comment and I'll organise to pop them in the post to you so you can flick through them yourself and see if you have the same problem I do. I personally prefer to have a hard copy of a catalogue in my hands to looking at them online, but that still hasn't made it any easier for me too choose what to get, they're all so gorgeous. They variety in the new product suites is great, there's something there for everyone's different tastes, and the examples are all stunning! See for yourself.
Sale-A-Bration is an awesome promotion to be involved with. If your a customer you get a free item of your choice with every $90.00 of product you purchase. As a hostess, you can earn an extra $50.00 in hostess dollars if you hold a party with sales over $600.00. And if you join Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration you'll receive $255.00 of product in your start up kit for only $169.00 Everyone wins! Again, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Here's a card I made using the Decorative Dots embossing folder that you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration.

I'm loving Coastal Cabana right now, what is your favourite Stampin' Up! colour?
Well I'm off to look over the new catties again and try to finally decide what I'm going to get now, and what I may just get a little later. This could take a while!

Cheers

Thank Heaven For Little Girls

Hi guys, how are you? We've been celebrating Australia Day here and a long weekend usually offers a chance to craft, and I used that chance to create a double page layout of my niece Trinity.

I took these photos when my brother and his family were visiting from Western Australia in September last year, I'm glad I waited to scrap them until now as they go so nicely with the few Sale-A-Bration free products I've already earned before it starts tomorrow (the joys of being a demonstrator).

Layout and Bonus Card

Hi guys! As promised last post here's a look at a scrapbook layout I created before Christmas and a card I made with an off cut from the layout before packing away the products I had spread all over my craft desk.

These clouds were made using an embossing folder that is retired, but you could easily create a simaler effect using the Word Bubbles Framelits Dies available in the 2014 Occasions Catalogue on sale January 28 to June 30. Once they go live for sale in my store I'll add the link here.

I made the ribbon accent longer than the page to give myself the option of placing it at an angle but decided it looked better straight. When I cut off the extra, I thought of throwing it away for a second then realised I quite liked it so decided to make a card using it as the focal point.

I'm always keeping things, I'll admit it, I am a hoarder. But I'm trying to change my ways, so I made myself use it straight away. This is something I'm trying to do to help reduce all the little bits and pieces that clutter my craft table. If I think it's too cute or is usable, I've got to try and use it or loose it. I'm happy with the end result of the card. After stamping and cutting the sentiment I realised I'd done so on white cardstock when the card base was vanilla, so I placed a clear block onto my baked brown sugar ink pad and then spritzed it with some water and transferred the wet ink onto the paper using my finger, it saved diving into my stash for some vanilla and stamping the image again and throwing away the white one. I quite like the affect.

I hope this encourages you to use your scraps up,

Cheers

Card Pairs

Hi guys, how are you all doing? Well I hope. If you're in need of some card inspiration I hope I'm able to help you out with this post. Today I've got two pair of cards I made simply because I wanted to play with some stamps I hadn't used in a while. The first pair are identical apart from the ink colours used on the edges of the elements.
The first one uses one of the new In Colors Pistachio Pudding,

And on the second one I changed from the Pistachio Pudding to Island Indigo,

I'm not sure which I prefer, I wanted to used a light brown to ink the edges but had challenged myself to stick to the colours found in the piece of Venetian Romance DSP I used on the card. I think I'll make another one of these someday and use Soft Suede on the edges just to settle my mind.

The second pair of cards are also pretty much identical, I jut swapped out the greetings and slightly moved elements around.

The sentiment on the first card comes from the set Hello, Lovely, and the image on the second card is from the set Lots of Thanks.

Which do you prefer? I usually try to make cards in pairs because that way I can give one away when I'm making one for someone and add the other to my stash. I find it more productive to just stamp and cut everything twice and it actually saves time as everything is already out on the table. The second pair of cards I made using scrap DSP left over from the first two. That is something else I try to do, use leftovers on additional cards before putting everything away. In my next post I'll show you an example of a card I made with left overs from a scrapbook layout I created. I hope you pop by and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by, if you have any questions don't hesitate to leave them below,

Top Note Die Box

Hi guys, I've been busy crafting away the past couple of days as it's just been too hot to do much else! It's been over 40 degrees for 4 days in a row here in North East Victoria. Here's a look at one of the things I've made.

I made this to be part of my mother-in-law's birthday present, she always complains about money being spent on her for her birthday or Christmas or Mother's Day, so I always try to make something and just get her something small to go with it as I figure it's her birthday, she may not want money spent on her but there's no way I wouldn't give her something gorgeous.

Inside I've put some new Cadbury Crispello chocolates. I've also made a note card set to go with this, I'll show you that shortly. Products used in this box include the awesome Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Top Note Bigz Die, Backyard Basics die and stamp set, Fun Flowers Bigz L die, Banner Greetings stamp set (hostess set), Simply Pressed Clay, Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Mold, Pool Party Cordination Cardstock, Wisper White Cardstock, Pool Party Classic Ink Pad, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimentionals, Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' Sanding Block, Stampin' Trimmer and Crystal Effects.

I'm not sure if you can see it, but I used the Crystal Effects on the shaded edges of the butterfly wings, trust me it looks cool in person. I hope my MIL likes it, now I just need to make a matching card to go with it now. If you want to purchase any of the products used in this, you can buy them online in my store here or simply comment below your interest and I'll get in touch.

Thanks for stopping by,

Cheers
